Chennai: In a fervent declaration that reverberated through the political landscape, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin asserted on Tuesday that the juggernaut of Indian politics, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will be unseated from power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Stalin's proclamation came in the wake of a controversial G20 dinner invitation addressed to the 'President of Bharat,' a move he attributed to the growing unity among opposition forces.

Taking to the digital pulpit of a prominent social media platform, Stalin, using his pseudonym "X," opined, "As the non-BJP forces unite to dismantle the authoritarian BJP regime and aptly christen their coalition #INDIA, the BJP now seeks to replace 'India' with 'Bharat.' It's worth noting that the BJP initially promised to 'TRANSFORM India,' yet all we've witnessed after nine years is a mere name alteration. This move underscores the BJP's unease with a single word, 'India,' underscoring their awareness of the opposition's formidable unity."

He boldly predicted, "During the elections, 'India' will chase BJP out of power!"

Earlier in the day, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh raised eyebrows when he revealed that an invitation for a G20 dinner scheduled for September 9 had been issued in the name of the 'President of Bharat,' deviating from the customary 'President of India' title.

The BJP found itself mired in criticism from the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, an amalgamation of opposition leaders who vehemently condemned the central government for this maneuver.

Responding to these unfolding events, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal delivered a satirical quip aimed at the Centre, inquiring whether the nation's name would transform into the Bharatiya Janata Party if the INDIA coalition underwent such a change.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Kejriwal expressed, "I do not possess official confirmation, but I have learned through the press. This alteration appears to be a reaction to INDIA, a union of opposition parties. If the INDIA bloc were to rebrand itself as 'Bharat' after a meeting tomorrow, would the nation's name change to BJP as well?"

Meanwhile, DMK MP Kanimozhi questioned the sudden shift from the customary 'President of India' designation to 'President of Bharat.' She pondered on the motives and underlying political implications, remarking, "Invitations have always borne the name 'President of India' or 'Prime Minister of India.' Why this change now? What is the motive behind it? What political machinations are at play? The Constitution has remained unaltered for all these years, but now it raises many questions."

Adding a layer of intrigue to the unfolding saga, Kanimozhi continued, "Recently, the RSS chief articulated a desire to alter the country's name. Considering this in light of current developments, one cannot help but question whether the RSS is shaping the nation's agenda. We remain unaware of the purpose behind the special parliamentary session and its agenda."

Earlier in the day, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), under the leadership of Mohan Bhagwat, aims to modify the nation's Constitution by removing the word 'India' and replacing it with 'Bharat.'

On September 2, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, during an address in Guwahati, advocated the use of the name "Bharat" over "India" and urged citizens to embrace this change. "Our country has been known as Bharat for centuries. Regardless of the language, the name remains consistent," Bhagwat stated during an event organized by the Sakal Jain Samaj.
