New Delhi: The reaction of his son has come after the late Congress leader Motilal Vora, who remained loyal to the Gandhi family for the rest of his life, was accused of all the transactions of The Associated Journals Limited (AJL), the parent company of Young India Limited (YIL) and The National Herald. Motilal Vora's son and Congress MLA Arun Vora has said that Rahul Gandhi cannot level such allegations against his father.
According to the report, Arun Vora has said that, "These are baseless allegations. The Congress leadership cannot be wrong nor can Vora ji. Rahul ji can't make such allegations against my father. Arun Vora said the Congress leadership can never be wrong. Arun also termed as baseless media reports that Rahul Gandhi was responsible for the transactions by former party treasurer Motilal Vohra. In fact, reports suggest that during the interrogation of the ED, Rahul Gandhi said that motilal vora was the authorised signatory to ajl's transaction. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was questioned by the ED for about eight hours for the third consecutive day on Wednesday (June 15, 2022) in connection with a money laundering case related to the National Herald.
At the same time, the ED officials have also summoned Rahul Gandhi on Friday (June 17, 2022) for questioning while resting him on Thursday. However, Rahul Gandhi has sought a three-day rest from the investigating agency and appealed to him to appear before it on Monday. However, there has been no response from ED to this. The investigating agency has already questioned Motilal Vora, Mallikarjun Kharge, Pawan Bansal etc. During the interrogations conducted in April this year, several ED's had found some wires attached. On this basis, the scope of the investigation has reached Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.
