With funding from the India-EU ICT standards partnership project, the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT HYDERABAD) hosted a Workshop on the Internet of Things (IoT) and oneM2M on the 13th and 14th of May 2022 as part of its college research affiliate programme.
The workshop was held to educate students and teachers from affiliated colleges about IoT, Smart Cities, and oneM2M, as well as to urge them to implement standard-based solutions on their campuses and to incorporate standards into their course curriculum.
Six colleges, which participated in this workshop were as follows:- G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS), Hyderabad, Telangana, 2. Hyderabad, Telangana's Vasavi College of Engineering 3. HITAM, Hyderabad, Telangana 4. Hyderabad's K. G. Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, Telanagana Nagpur, Maharashtra's St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering 6. Kottayam's Saintgits College of Engineering.
The workshop, which lasted two days and included lectures and hands-on sessions, drew 115 students and 18 staff members from these six colleges. These students had previously completed a MOOC on oneM2M online, where they received hands-on help from IIITH mentors. The lectures were given by IIITH professors, with one guest lecture by Prof. Thierry Monteil of IRIT in Toulouse, France.
