Material:

  • 1 bowl of rice
  • ½ glass of water
  • ½ glass of milk
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1½ cups water (for the jaggery)
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • ¼ cup raw milk (for mashed rice)
  • Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins)
  • cardamom powder
  • Saffron

  1. Cook rice: First of all, wash a bowl of rice thoroughly. Then put it in a cooker. Add half a glass of water and half a glass of milk to it. Cover the cooker and cook till 5-6 whistles. When the rice is cooked well, open the cooker and mash the rice.

  2. Add raw milk: Add half a cup of raw milk to the mashed rice and mix it well.

  3. Prepare jaggery syrup: Add 1 cup jaggery and 1½ cups water in a pan. Melt the jaggery on low flame and make syrup. Keep stirring it continuously till the syrup is ready.

  4. Add rice paste: Now add mashed rice paste to the jaggery syrup. Add some saffron milk to it and mix it well. When the mixture thickens, add one spoon of ghee to it.

  5. Garnish: Now add dry fruits, cardamom powder, and a little saffron to the mixture. Mix all the ingredients well. Then take it out in a bowl and garnish with additional dry fruits on top.
