Simple Guide to Renewing UAE Passports Abroad in 3 Easy Steps: If you're an Emirati living outside the UAE and your passport is either expired or close to expiring, don't worry! You can renew your passport easily in just three simple steps using the UAEICP service.
This service is perfect for Emiratis abroad due to medical or educational reasons. Once your passport renewal is processed, the new passport will be sent to the UAE Embassy in your current location for you to collect.
Here’s how to renew your passport:
Log in to your account: Use your digital ID to access the UAEICP website or app.
Select Passport Renewal Service: Choose the option for renewing passports for citizens.
Submit Application: Complete and submit your application. Ensure that all the information is correct and up-to-date. Pay the required fees and choose how you want to receive your new passport (either delivered to your address or to the UAE Embassy).
Important Details
Signature and Fingerprint: For applicants over 15 years old, a signature and fingerprint must be present on the ID card. Your current passport should be valid for less than 6 months.
Extended Validity: As of July 2024, UAE passports for those aged 21 and older are valid for 10 years. This change reduces the need for multiple trips to the passport office, making the process more efficient.
Required Documents
If there are any errors made by the authority or if you belong to certain exempt groups, you may not need to pay these fees.
Additional Information
For any queries, you can contact the support line at 600522222. Your passport will be issued electronically within 48 hours of a successful service request.
