The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award ceremony has been announced on Wednesday. Meanwhile, films nominated for IIFA Awards were also announced. Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has received the most nominations in 14 categories. With this, Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh has received nominations for eight and Ayushman Khurana's article-15 in seven categories. The invitation letter of the ceremony was released in Mumbai during the press conference and the winners of the technical awards were also announced. Along with actress Katrina Kaif, Dia Mirza and actor Karthik Aryan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Sudhiranjan Mohanty and Wizcraft International founder Sabbas Joseph were present on the occasion.

Tickets for the ceremony to be held on 27 and 29 March can be purchased from Book My Show from 6 March. In the past, Kartik suffered an injury to his right hand while performing a stunt in a dance reality show between the promotion of the film Love Aaj Tak. On Wednesday morning, he underwent ligament tear surgery and reached straight for the press conference. Kartik even apologized by touching Katrina's feet for arriving here late.

State Chief Secretary Sudhiranjan Mohanty has described Salman Khan as the main inspiration for organizing IIFA in Madhya Pradesh. He has also thanked artists like Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar and Kartik Aaryan for illuminating the name of the state. With this, he said that IIFA's art and culture will get international recognition. The invitation letter of the IIFA ceremony has been designed by the Izhar institution. It is believed to be inspired by 1400-year-old Gond art of MP. Trees printed on it are a sign of prosperity. The picture of the national animal tiger shows the number of them growing in the state. The memorial there is inscribed in the insignia given with this invitation letter.
