Gold and silver prices have fallen sharply on Thursday. The impact of the price coming down in the global market has also been seen on the Indian futures market today. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, gold prices are seeing a decline today. However, the price of gold is still running above 52 thousand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 175 to Rs 52,066 per 10 grams today. Earlier, trading in gold started at the level of Rs 52,144, but due to the softening of demand, prices came down soon. Gold is currently trading 0.33 per cent lower than its previous closing price.
On the lines of gold, and silver futures prices are also seeing a big decline today. Silver futures on MCX have fallen by Rs 434 to Rs 58,526 per kg. Earlier, the trading in silver started at the level of Rs 58,437. After a while, its prices started showing some increase, but still, it is trading 0.74 per cent lower than its previous closing price.
