The impact of the ongoing rally in the global market was also seen on the domestic futures market on Wednesday morning and gold prices rose, while silver prices came down. Gold has now reached around Rs 50,500. At the Multimoditive Exchange (MCX), the futures price of 24-carat purity gold rose by Rs 39, to Rs 50,496 per 10 grams this morning. Earlier, trading in gold had started at the level of Rs 50,431, but due to the increase in demand, the prices started rising soon. Gold is currently trading 0.08 per cent higher than its previous finish.
Fall in silver prices:-
While gold could gain momentum in the futures market today, the pressure was seen on silver. Silver futures on the MCX fell by Rs 42 to Rs 56,424 per kg. Earlier, silver had opened trading at Rs 56,475 this morning, but soon the prices went down. Silver is currently trading 0.07 per cent lower than its previous close.
