JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Congress government announced on Monday that it had completed 86% of the financial announcements made during the previous four years, ahead of the State Assembly election set for later this year. It said that 94% of the 2,722 announcements made for all societal segments had received financial approval.
At a two-day Chintan Shivir (brainstorming camp), which began here on Monday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his Cabinet colleagues evaluated the advancement of the State government's initiatives and the functioning of various departments. The Council of Ministers' meeting kicked off the camp.
The Ministers mulled action plans for the efficient implementation of the programmes while being accompanied by teams of senior officers. They identified the areas of governance that needed more attention. According to information provided to the Chintan Shivir, 77% of the 501 promises made by the Congress in its platform for the 2018 Assembly election have been fulfilled.
According to Food & Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, the final four years of the Congress administration saw the greatest number of budget releases. The moment has come, he said, to evaluate how the federal and state governments are performing and how they are carrying out financial announcements.
Right to Health Bill to be Introduced Mr. Khachariyawas stated that the State government would introduce the Right to Health Bill during the forthcoming Assembly Budget Session. The development of 11 missions, each focused on a different aspect of farming, demonstrated how "immensely successful" the Chief Minister's decision to offer a distinct agriculture budget in 2022–23 had been, he claimed.
The State government plans to introduce another Bill to control the operation of coaching institutes, private colleges, and universities following the adoption of a law last year with strong restrictions against cheating, paper leakage, and the use of dishonest tactics in competitive examinations.
Rajasthan became the first state to implement "Blindness Control Policy"
