The World's 'Most Haunted' Doll: A Terrifying Mystery Unveiled- A delicate antique doll, notorious for its chilling reputation, has become infamous for reportedly attacking 17 men. Known as the "most haunted" doll globally, its unsettling behavior has captivated paranormal enthusiasts and intrigued investigators.
Doll with Dark Secrets
The doll, housed at the Haunted Objects Museum in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, is said to be possessed by the spirit of a vengeful bride named Elizabeth. This malevolent spirit is believed to have sparked numerous paranormal incidents, including physical assaults on men.
Lee Steer, a 37-year-old paranormal investigator and museum owner, purchased the doll for £866 from eBay after hearing about its hostile nature towards men. Steer experienced the doll's wrath firsthand during an investigation in the museum’s "bridal doll room." He reported a burning sensation on his neck, followed by scratches on his back that resembled a pentagram.
"It appears the doll harbors a profound hatred towards men," Steer commented. "Over 15 men have reported being scratched by it—never any women."
Haunting Encounters
The doll's disturbing behavior extends beyond physical attacks. Steer has observed that the doll can trigger fire alarms, move objects around the room, and cause electronic disturbances. In one instance, a perfume bottle was thrown across the room, and the words "bride" and "haunting" mysteriously appeared on video footage.
Jon-Paul Kenny, another paranormal investigator, experienced a similar encounter while filming a live session. He felt a sudden tug on his shirt, despite being alone in the room with only his girlfriend and the doll. "I felt something grab my shirt and touch my skin," Kenny recounted. "It was definitely the bridal doll."
Kenny also reported seeing a bride in a white dress out of the corner of his eye throughout the night. "Although it didn’t scare me, it certainly made me uneasy," he admitted.
Mystery of the Doll’s Anger
The reasons behind the doll's hostility remain unclear. Steer speculates that the spirit may have been mistreated by a man during her life or that her wedding day ended in tragedy, leading to her haunting behavior. Another theory is that the doll’s jealousy may be triggered by the museum's recent acquisition of famous artifacts from the horror film series "The Conjuring."
Sarah Carter, Steer’s partner, has observed that the doll’s actions are predominantly directed at men. "While the doll has moved objects in the room when I was present, it has only scratched males," Carter noted. Due to her unease, she now avoids the bridal doll room altogether.
