Jaipur: The issue of OBC reservation discrepancy in Rajasthan has started gaining momentum again for a long time. Thousands of youth belonging to the OBC category have been agitating for the last several months after the OBC category did not get the benefit of 21 per cent reservation in the state, where former minister Harish Chaudhary has opened a front. At the same time, Chaudhary has directly targeted Ashok Gehlot in this case. Chaudhary on Thursday expressed displeasure over no decision being taken in the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday on the issue of discrepancy in OBC reservation.
It is noteworthy that in the past, a big protest was also organized in Jaipur under the leadership of Chaudhary and the leaders of many social parties. At the same time, after a long agitation of the youth, the office bearers of the Sangharsh Samiti had met Govind Singh Dotasra, where Dotasra had said that Chief Minister Gehlot has given his in-principle approval in the matter of removing the anomalies of OBC reservation and hoped for positive results.
Dotasara had said during that time that CM Gehlot had placed the demands before him during the talks, and had issued his consent in principle on the demands, after which soon an order will be issued by the government to remove the discrepancies, but even after months, the anger of the youth has erupted again after the government has not taken any decision.
