In this sequence, a video of seeking votes in lieu of sarees in Gwalior has gone viral on social media. In the video, the father-in-law is seen going from house to house and distributing sarees to the women to win over the daughter-in-law. In a viral video, Bhikam Singh, father-in-law of Varsha Jitendra Gurjar, a candidate of ward number one of zila panchayat, is distributing sarees to women in Supawali village.
According to the information, someone captured this video of distributing the saree in his mobile and then posted it on social media. Anjana Devi, zila panchayat member candidate from the same ward, has complained about the matter to the election office over the viral video. It also demanded cancellation of candidate Varsha's candidature. Election officials have taken cognizance of the video and started an investigation. Let us know that, voting for gwalior district panchayat election is scheduled to be held on June 25 (Saturday). Campaigning for this came to a halt from 3 pm on Thursday. Due to which the candidates and their families are making every effort to win.
