Each year, many students across the country appeared for the Engineering entrance exams, be it national or state. Students compete for private or government seats. They are then admitted to the reputed Institutes based on the merit list.
JEE (Main) is the most sought after examination in the country and is also considered to be the toughest. Through this examination, students can seek admission to the most prestigious engineering colleges of the country, like Indian Institute of Technlogy (IIT).
As per the recent infortmation provided, the Union Human Resource Development Ministry has announced the final schedule for the Joint Entrance Main (JEE Main) examination.
The ministry announced the schedule on the 26th of August, Sunday.
As per the new schedule, it has been informed that the first examination shall be conducted from January 6 to January 20, 2019, while the second examination also known as JEE Advance shall be conducted from April 6 to April 20, 2019.
Also, the students must be informed that they need to score at least 75 per cent in the class 12 board exams or they must manage to get a place in the top 20 percentile of the Boards, so that they are eligible for the JEE main or advanced. Candidates of the SC and ST categories, need to score at least 65 per cent.
JEE Main I: Begins from January 6
Online submission of application forms: September 1 to September 30, 2018
Downloading of admit cards: December 17, 2018
Dates of examination: January 6 to January 20, 2019 (examinaion shall be held in 8 different sitings and the candidate will be allowed to opt for any of these.)
Announcement of results: January 31, 2019
JEE Main II: Begins from April 6
Online submission of application forms: February 8 to March 7, 2019
Downloading admit cards: March 18, 2019
Dates of examination: April 6 to April 20, 2019 (examinaion shall be held in 8 different sitings and the candidate will be allowed to opt for any of these.)
Declaration of results: April 30, 2019.
Tentative dates for various events:
Commencement of online application: Third week of December
Last date to fill application form: Third week of June
Download of admit card: Second week of April
Examination dates: Fourth week of April
Result date: First week of June.
