In an age of digital technology and futuristic education, Dr. Chandan Agarwal is an award-winning educationist who ventured into his dream project of starting a chain of premier schools in India in the year 2013 that promotes active pedagogy, development of life skills and capabilities, experimental learning, and holistic progress. He started with GD Goenka Public school, Kanpur which led the way to the beginning of other establishments such as G.D. Goenka Public School, G. D. Goenka Toddler House in Lucknow, and G.D. Goenka Montessori School in Kanpur.

With a focus to help facilitate the evolvement of a globally aware, deft, and intellectually conscientious individual, he started his entrepreneurship journey in 2010 with a vision to put the Indian education system at par on the global map. He felt that it is imperative to identify every student’s inherent talent and potential and then provide them with opportunities to hone their skills and talent. From a humble beginning in a small town in Begusarai, Dr. Chandan Agarwal have today revolutionised the education landscape in the state of Uttar Pradesh earning him the titles of being an Academician, Entrepreneur, Champion of Change, and a World Humanitarian. From socially beneficial campaigns to relief camps, the school run by Dr. Chandan is constantly working to garner young minds towards experiential learning who can take a step forward towards becoming self-sufficient.
 
The best practices executed under his able guidance have led him to receive numerous awards and accolades such as the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016’; ‘Top North Indian Educationalist’ by the Times of India and the Hindustan Times; ‘Remarkable Contribution in the Education Sector of Uttar Pradesh (2019)’. His work and achievements have also been recognized in various forums. He has been conferred with awards by several dignitaries such as Kiran Bedi (Lt. Governor Puducherry),Shri Shashi Tharoor (Ex. Minister of HRD, Govt. of India), Shri Nitin Gadkari (Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India). In one of the significant achievements recognizing his work towards social development through education, he was awarded the Champions of Change Award by Honourable Vice President of India, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi in 2018

Dr. Chandan shares, “instead of involving the private education institutions in too many legal formalities, it would be good if the Government took certain initiatives on building a Public-Private Partnership Model in Education and offer rebates to the rural children which will help us grow as a nation. There is a lot of untapped potential in our rural population which needs support and nurturing. Hopefully, I will be able to do so in the near future”.
