Dubai: Wicketkeeper-batsman and Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has arrived in Dubai for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction. After a road accident near Roorkee on New Year's Eve last year, Pant had been away from cricket and undergoing continuous rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). This marks his return to a significant cricketing event for the first time.
Reports suggest that Pant is not only set to participate in IPL 2024 but will also lead the team. His expected full recovery is projected by the end of February, just in time for the IPL, which is anticipated to commence in the last week of March. In IPL 2023, with Pant unavailable, David Warner took charge of Delhi Capitals, and the team's performance suffered.
