Anjali Birla, daughter of Lok Sabha speaker and MP Om Birla, has done something amazing that today, she has become an IAS officer by passing UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Anjali is not less than any model or actress in appearance. But more than her beauty, she is more hardworking than that, due to which she is going to become the number one officer by passing the country's biggest exam in the first time. ''I am very happy to get selected in this exam. I wanted to join the civil services to do something for the society as I always saw my father's commitment towards the people of the country,'' she told to media.
''The credit for my success especially goes to my elder sister. She helped me a lot in preparing for the main examination,'' she said. The civil services examination is conducted annually by the commission in three stages -- preliminary, main and interview -- to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
After joining the administrative service, Anjali wants to work in the field of women empowerment. Anjali said that she had a dream since childhood that she should grow up to work for the poor and women. After getting selected in civil services, there is a festive atmosphere at Om Birla's residence at Shaktinagar in Kota.
