New Delhi: M Jagadeesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), announced on Thursday that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to Post Graduation (PG) courses will begin today.
The application period will end on June 18, with the exam taking place in the last week of July. "The Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode will be used for the CUET (PG) 2022. The application period will run from May 19 through June 18, 2022 "he said.
"For the academic year 2022-2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Postgraduate Entrance Test for 42 Central and Participating Universities. Students seeking admission to various universities around the country will be able to use CUET as a single-window application "he noted.
He further stated, "In the last week of July 2022, the Common University Entrance Test for post-graduate admissions (CUET-PG) will be held. The NTA website will begin accepting application forms today. Details about the programmes will be available on the websites of the Central Universities and other universities that are participating."
Morning and evening shifts will be available for the exam. The entrance exam can be taken in either English or Hindi. "If there is a special language, they will write in that language, such as Sanskrit," he said.
