Mumbai: Fifth edition of The CSR Journal Excellence Awards is all set to be held tomorrow, 25 February 2023, at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai. The Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde, will be gracing the event as our Chief Guest this year.

The CSR Journal Excellence Awards proudly steps into its fifth year with ‘India First’ as its theme. The CSR Journal's aim is to motivate, encourage and inspire corporates and other commercial ventures as well as citizens to come forward and do something for the benefit of society and fellow citizens, especially the marginalised, underprivileged and vulnerable.

The CSR Journal Excellence Awards serve as a forum to promote  more such corporate and citizen social initiatives It believes that this will have a snowball effect and grow to the point where ten good deeds today can motivate 100 tomorrow. The CSR Journal Excellence Awards' fifth iteration is scheduled to take place at Mumbai's National Stock Exchange on February 25, 2023.

Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, will grace the occasion as this year's Chief Guest. The Excellence Awards 2022 recognise the top practises in five categories to honour innovative and best practises in the field of corporate social responsibility. They include Women Empowerment & Child Welfare, Environment, Agriculture & Rural Development, Health & Sanitation, and Education & Skill Training.

The Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay, the Knowledge Partner for The CSR Journal Excellence Awards 2022, selected the top three nominees from among a record number of submissions that were submitted to The CSR Journal in each of these categories. The distinguished jury members for the final round are senior bureaucrats, academics, and well-known figures who have worked in the fields of education, public administration, public safety, public services, women empowerment, town planning, and policy-making among others. They will evaluate the entries and determine the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up.

The "Lifetime Achievement Award 2022" will be given to Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Rani Bang, the founder and director, respectively, of the Society for Education, Action, and Research in Community Health in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Khan Sir, a digital educator with a following on social media, will get the "Young Icon Award 2022." Khan Sir resides in Patna. Prajakta Koli, an actor and influencer, will receive the "Influencing Young Icon Award 2022." The Innovation and Corporate Leadership in Healthcare Award 2022 will recognise Muthoot Finance Limited's project Cup of Life, a Guinness World Record campaign.

For their committed efforts towards vocational education in India, Friends Union for Energizing Lives University (FUEL) will be honoured with the Skilling for Capacity Development & Livelihood Generation Award in 2022. "During the course of the last year, CSR investments and activities have adjusted to address and transcend the fault lines brought on by the Covid epidemic. The CSR Journal Excellence Awards' fifth iteration is a significant turning point in the path we started in 2016. The Excellence Awards have inspired much-needed initiatives and inclusive and innovative practises among corporations and citizens thanks to the experience, support, and cooperation of numerous stakeholders, partners, and most importantly readers, according to Amit Upadhyay, founder and editor-in-chief of The CSR Journal. The "Leadership for Social Change Award" will be given to Dr. Shrikant Shinde, Member of Parliament for Maharashtra's Kalyan Constituency, for his contributions to social work in the region and for making history as one of India's youngest leaders.
