New Delhi: Congress leaders protesting in support of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi have levelled serious allegations against the Delhi Police. Senior Congress leaders said that delhi police entered the Congress headquarters and resorted to lathicharge on workers and leaders. Senior leaders have termed the lathicharge at the office of the oldest party as an attack on democracy. On the other hand, The Delhi Police has denied the congress' allegations and said that there was no lathi charge by entering the office.

Senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Ajay Maken, KC Venugopal and others have accused the police of lathicharge. Ajay Maken tweeted that today, after entering the premises of AICC, the police resorted to lathicharge on Congress workers. The headquarters of the political party, especially the main opposition party, have a temple in a democracy. This temple has been attacked. The police force is surrounded from all sides.
