Indore: Politics is heating up in Madhya Pradesh regarding Kalicharan Maharaj, who made indecent statements on Mahatma Gandhi. Congress has burnt an effigy of Kalicharan Maharaj in Indore. A complaint of sedition has been filed against him. Earlier on Wednesday, the Congress leader had announced a reward of Rs 30,000 on Kalicharan Maharaj.

It is worth noting that Kalicharan Maharaj had made an indecent statement against Mahatma Gandhi. He called Nathuram Godse a Mahatma. In this case, Chhattisgarh Police had registered a case against Kalicharan Maharaj under various sections. Thereafter, a video of Kalicharan Maharaj surfaced, in which he told that he is not sorry for his words spoken in the Parliament of Religions. They hate Gandhi. Even if the death penalty is given, it is acceptable.

Along with this, he also made many types of allegations on Mahatma Gandhi in the video and said what he did for Hindutva. After this incident, the Congress expressed its objection and on Thursday, the city Congress burnt the effigy of Kalicharan Maharaj in Indore. City Congress President Vinay Bakliwal told that the intention of taking political advantage is visible behind this statement of Kalicharan. Kalicharan has lost by contesting the election of councilor from Maharashtra, so now again trying to get closer to a particular party.
