Complaints raised against 18 NGOs in Andhra on alleged conversion: Minister

Andhra Pradesh: Since 2018, the government has received complaints against 18 NGOs for their alleged involvement in conversion to Christianity through inducements, allurement, and deception, the government informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai stated in a written response to a question that the ministry has received complaints against 18 Andhra Pradesh groups for purported conversion to Christianity. In his response, he stated that, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010, proper action has been taken in response to the allegations, depending on the facts and circumstances of each case.
