Bhubaneswar: Close on the heels of resuming operation of schools across state verticals last week, all the colleges and universities in Odisha reopened today after being shut down nearly 10 months ago due to the pandemic Covid-19.
The classroom teaching for the final year Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students commenced from today with strict adherence to the Covid Standard Operating Procedure issued by the State Higher Education Department.
In addition, the final year Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate classes, M.Phil and Ph.D activities also operational from today with the same pandemic protocols, sources said.
The Health Department has, however, advised the teachers, staff and students of active containment zones not to attend the physical classroom teachings in their respective colleges and universities, but they would be made available with the complete facilities so that they do not lag behind and are deprived of the courses of studies already taught during their absent periods, sources added.
