Singrauli: After the acquisition of land in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh 32 years ago, the construction work of the much-awaited airstrip has been approved. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan laid the foundation stone for the construction of a virtual airstrip on Sunday. Shivraj, along with PWD Minister Gopal Bhargava, has gifted the people of Singrauli by laying the foundation stone of the airstrip being built in the district.
An amount of Rs 35.30 crore for the construction of this airstrip has been given administrative approval, out of which 17.3 crores has been received by NCL, 1.25 crore from APMDC and 16.76 crores from DMF. The contract for the construction of Singrauli airstrip has been awarded to Udit Infrastructure. The company has to complete construction work in 8 months. With the commencement of air travel in Singrauli district, many development works will be increased and the companies established here will also get its benefits.
CM Shivraj said that Singrauli will develop the airstrip in such a way that big ships can take off in the coming time. Today Singrauli is the fastest-growing district. Connectivity is necessary for development. The road from Sidhi to Singrauli is being built. This is the much-awaited road. Its tender has been started, work will start at a fast speed.
