Visakhapatnam: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested YS Bhaskar Reddy, uncle of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in connection with the murder of former MP Vivekananda Reddy. Vivekananda Reddy was the brother of late Andhra Pradesh CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy and uncle of current Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Let us tell you that he was murdered on the night of March 15, 2019, a few weeks before the state assembly elections, at his residence in Pulivendula, which is now the constituency represented by his nephew. The CBI team has arrested Jagan Reddy's brother Bhaskar Reddy in connection with the murder of former MP and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's uncle Vivekananda Reddy. The case was initially investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the State Crime Investigation Department. But in July 2020, it was handed over to the CBI.

According to the CBI chargesheet, Vivekananda Reddy allegedly sought a parliamentary election ticket for himself, YS Sharmila (CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister), or YS Vijayamma (Jagan Mohan Reddy's mother) instead of Avinash Reddy from Kadapa Lok Sabha. Were staying
