In barely two weeks, the comic sequel directed by Gippy Grewal has made over Rs. 45 corers at the Indian box office. The Indian box office for Carry on Jatta 3 is expected to surpass Rs. 50 corers.

Carry on Jatta 3 is the third instalment in the hit Punjabi comedy film series ‘Carry on Jatta’ and the sequel to Carry on Jatta 2, which is highest grossing Punjabi film to date. The film stars Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa.

The first All-Time Blockbuster from the Punjabi cinema industry in the last five years is Carry on Jatta 3. In 2018, Carry on Jatta 2 was the final movie in the genre to accomplish this achievement. Nine movies—all of which are explored further in the story—can be categorized as All-Time Blockbusters since the year 2010.

Within barely two weeks of its release, the comic sequel directed by Gippy Grewal garnered an incredible box office haul of nearly Rs. 45 corers in India. On schedule, the movie will gross more than Rs. 50 corers in the domestic market. The movie did experience a decline in sales on Monday, which was partially brought on by floods brought on by the heavy rains in North India, but things improved over the next three days with just slight declines. The movie's global box office has surpassed Rs. 87 corers, and there is still a good chance that it will surpass Rs. 100 corers. The Punjabi movie with the highest global box office success so far is Carry on Jatta 3.
