Agartala: Within 12 hours of the attack on Tripura Congress unit president Piyush Vishwas, CPI-M MP Jharna Das Baidya's house has been attacked by miscreants. Tripura Congress chief Piyush Vishwas was attacked at Bishalgarh in Sepoyjala district. Piyush has claimed that he was attacked by BJP-backed miscreants.
Piyush said that some Congress workers were also injured in the attack. In the afternoon, there have been incidents of attacks from several other parts of Agartala. Cpi-M leader and Rajya Sabha MP Jharna Das Baidya's house was attacked by miscreants on Sunday in the Matripalli area of Agartala. The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and the Students Federation of India (SFI) jointly called for a rally in Badrhat on Sunday.
Students and young members of left organizations gathered in front of the Bagghat CPI (M) office for the rally. Before the start of the rally, miscreants attacked Dyfi, SFI members and other left activists. He said that after the attack, he had to cancel the rally. MP Jharna Das Baidya was also present in the event. Baidya said that the BJP-backed miscreants tried to attack him and when they failed, they attacked his security personnel.
