Dehradun: An angry mob set fire to the resort of Pulkit Arya, the main culprit in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. The BJP has sacked former state minister Vinod Arya and his son Ankit Arya from the party with immediate effect. Ankit Arya has also been relieved from the post of Vice Chairman of Uttarakhand Other Backward Classes Commission by the Uttarakhand government. Vinod Arya is the father of Pulkit, the main culprit in the Ankita murder case, while Ankit is his elder brother. It is said that there is a pickle-making factory behind the resort, which belongs to the murder criminal Pulkit Arya. The mob vandalised here too, then set the factory on fire.
There is anger among people in different cities of the state about Ankita's murder. In Rishikesh, a mob broke the glass of Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht's car. After public protests, the Yamkeshwar MLA left the city. The post-mortem of Ankita's body was conducted at AIIMS Rishikesh, which was seized from the canal this morning. People are demanding the culprits be hanged to death. A day earlier, the criminals in the police vehicle were surrounded by the villagers and beaten up a lot. Videos and pictures of the incident are also going viral on social media. Earlier late at night, on the orders of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, the administration bulldozed the resort of the main culprit.
