Visakhapatnam: The dispute with Renigunta airport manager Sunil with the son of Congress MLA B Karunakar Reddy, YSR the ruling Party of Andhra Pradesh, cost the employees of Tirupati airport and its residential quarters. MLA's son Abhinay Reddy stopped the water supply after airport authorities refused him to enter the airport.
Reddy is the leader of Andhra Pradesh's ruling Yuvajan Shramika Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP). Renigunta Airport in Tirupati is an international airport operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Abhinay Reddy arrived at the airport earlier this week to welcome Andhra Cabinet Minister Botsa Satyanarayana. During this time, he had an argument with the officials there. Botha Satyanarayana had reached Tirupati to attend the closing ceremony of the national level Kabaddi competition. He was accompanied by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) chief YV Subba Reddy. Abhinay Reddy had gone to the airport to welcome Botha Satyanarayana and Subba Reddy.
Airport authority manager Sunil refused entry to Abhinay Reddy and his assistant at the airport. There was a heated argument between the YSRCP leader and airport authority officials over this. Later, the water supply was cut off at Renigunta airport and staff residential quarters. It was seen as a vengeance by Abhinay Reddy.
