Bhopal: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University in Amarkantak through online mode. On this occasion, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that, I heartily welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah on behalf of the university family and eight and a half crore people of Madhya Pradesh.
CM Shivraj further said that 21 percent tribal population resides in Madhya Pradesh. Tribal community has a glorious, splendid history. Tribal brothers and sisters have made an unprecedented contribution in the independence of our country. CM Chouhan said that many tribal heroes like Lord Birsa Munda, Jannayak Tantya Bhil, Bhima Nayak, Shankar Shah, Raghunath Shah sacrificed their everything for the pride of the country. I congratulate Indira Gandhi Tribal National University, where efforts are being made to keep the tribal art, culture and tradition flowing.
He said that, I am sure that this university will bring revolutionary change in the lives of our tribal sons and daughters through education. I wish you all the best for you to be successful in your noble cause. I am also very happy to inform that in this university all the dimensions of the Central National Education Policy 2020 of the Government of India have been implemented in their original spirit.
