New Delhi: The ruckus started in Bakkarwala of the national capital Delhi to settle Rohingya Muslims is getting snared. Everyone is making their own claims about giving flats to Rohingya Muslims in Delhi. Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra has written a letter to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia regarding this in the midst of the political turmoil over the Rohingyas.
In the letter written by the Ministry of Home Affairs, it was said that the Ministry of Home Affairs never instructed or approved to send Rohingyas to EWS flats. Therefore, the Delhi government should cooperate with the Center and take immediate steps to declare the area where Rohingya refugees are residing. The letter reads that on July 29, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a meeting with the Delhi government and it was clarified in the meeting that refugees living in India without proper documents are illegal residents. At the same time, before the letter of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, while holding a press conference, had targeted the Central Government and asked the Center to clarify its position regarding the Rohingyas.
AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also attacked Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri for his tweet. After which the Ministry of Home Affairs had clarified that the Rohingyas will be sent back to their country and that the Government of India will not give them any flat.
