British music star Adele became emotional after spotting Canadian icon Celine Dion in the audience at her Las Vegas residency show. A fan video posted on X captured the heartwarming moment as Adele approached Dion, singing her hit “When We Were Young.” Dion, seated in a private box at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, reached out to hold Adele’s face in her hands, and the two shared an affectionate hug.
As they embraced, Adele appeared visibly moved, shedding tears while speaking briefly to Dion. In a sweet gesture, Dion held and kissed Adele’s hand, with the British singer expressing her love before returning to the stage. The moment left both artists teary-eyed, with Dion seen dabbing her eyes as she sat back down. She was accompanied by her sons, Nelson and Eddy Angelil, who comforted her after the emotional encounter.
This touching moment marked a reunion of sorts; Adele had visited Dion backstage in January 2018 after watching her perform in Vegas. At that time, Dion shared her excitement on Instagram, saying, “Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them… I love her so much!!” Adele had also praised Dion on Instagram, calling her “Queen Celine” and describing the show as a “highlight” of her life.
As Adele’s two-year Las Vegas residency nears its end in November, she shared plans to take a “long break” from music after wrapping up her final shows, as revealed during a performance in Munich in September.
