Bollywood Actor & Anchor Uday Rajveer Singhh hosted the 82nd edition of the Indian Derby, sponsored by Horse Power Sports league (HPSL). His infectious energy added another level of charm to the premier horse racing event held at the Mahalaxmi race course on February 4 (Sunday). Recently he has acted in Mr. Manishankar’s film ‘Hey Kamini’ which is streaming on Jio Cinema. Also, his upcoming Telegu film named ‘Daas’ is quite popular among the Telugu audience. Recently he has hosted a celebrity chat show called ‘Meter chalu’ which will be soon on air. Celebrities like Bhumika Chawla, Krutikaa Sawant, Roshan Shetty (Author), Habib Mithiborwala, Big boss fame Lopa Mudra and many more lit up the event with their presence.
The Derby attracted 14 horses competing for a prize money of Rs.2 crore.
Attendees at the racecourse on that day won cash prizes through a lucky draw, with a total of Rs.1 million up for grabs. Moreover, there was a bumper jackpot, featuring a net amount of ₹50 lakh, pushing the total pool beyond ₹1 crore.
History was written by the Father-Son duo as trainer Malesh Narredu’s champion colt Enabler, ridden by son Yash Narredu, won the HPSL Indian Derby (Gr.1), the prestigious event of the Indian racing calendar at the Mahalaxmi racecourse on Sunday (Feb.4).
Suresh Paladugu, chairman and managing director of HPSL, emphasised the goal of redefining the horse and human bond. The HPSL introduced innovative leagues, representing teams based on seven languages — Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, and Rajasthani. The initiative seeks to blend sports, entertainment, and lifestyle to attract a broader audience to the sport.
Mr. Paladugu mentioned that they are actively working on the plan to make it big and will unveil it in the next six months.
