Bhopal: The large lake of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has become a boat accident. A boat filled with people, including Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, capsized in the lake. Actually, during the water sports meeting in Bhopal, the boat of IPS officers fell victim to the accident. Immediate rescue operations were started thereafter. According to news agency ANI, eight people, including IPS officers who were victims of the accident, were rescued.
According to media reports, a two-day conference of IPS officers was held in the city. CM Kamal Nath was also called to be a part of the cultural ceremony. According to media reports, senior police officers were seen enjoying various cultural programs and activities on Wednesday. The ceremony continued till late in the night with Sufi, Qawwali, drama, dance and other special performances.
Let us tell you that on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi last year, a big boat accident occurred while going for immersion of Ganapati idol. The boat capsized, killing 11 people. During that time, eight people were able to get out of the accident safely. They either floated themselves or were rescued by the sailors on the spot.
