Panaji: Polling is being held for 40 assembly seats in Goa today. There are 301 candidates trying their luck in the election. At the same time, late Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's son Utpal Parrikar is pitted against Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) CM face Amit Palekar. Goa recorded 44.58 per cent voter turnout till 1 pm. The Sanquelim assembly seat, the seat of CM Pramod Sawant, recorded the highest turnout of 54 per cent, and many polling booths in Goa have been beautifully decorated to motivate more and more people to vote.
