Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked a significant milestone on Monday by participating in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for 127 developmental projects. During the event, he underscored the importance of the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide fresh drinking water and combat water-borne diseases, setting a new standard for such initiatives. "There was a crisis of drinking water in the Vindhya region, and the vision of the Prime Minister has led to the implementation of the Har Ghar Jal Yojana. Once this scheme is completed, not only will people have access to clean water, but we will also see a reduction in water-borne diseases. The Jal Jeevan Mission aims to address this critical issue and elevate our efforts," stated the Chief Minister. Adityanath also highlighted the government's 'Har Ghar Nal' scheme, which aims to install taps in every household. He announced the establishment of a medical college in Soanbhadra and additional educational facilities in Mirzapur. "I am proud to announce that the Har Ghar Nal Yojana is being implemented. The work for a medical college in Soanbhadra has also commenced. This will provide our youth with opportunities to study medicine right here in their district," he explained. The CM further detailed that the Mirzapur Medical College will also include a nursing center, promising 100% placement for graduates. "Construction of a university named after Maa Vindhyavasini will begin soon, and educational activities will start in the next session," he added. Reflecting on the past, Adityanath criticized the previous government's implementation of schemes, claiming there was discrimination in who benefited from them. He asserted that under the current administration, the focus has shifted to supporting the poor, farmers, and women without bias. "Ten years ago, Mirzapur faced connectivity issues, and the benefits of government schemes did not reach the poor. Today, we see a transformed Mirzapur, where the holy place of Vindhyavasini is developing beautifully," he said. He concluded by emphasizing the government's commitment to unity and the importance of ensuring that all citizens receive equal benefits from developmental schemes, reinforcing that a strong national unity is vital for the country's security.
