Xiaomi Launches Redmi A3 in India, Starting at Rs. 7,299: Here's What's Inside

Xiaomi has introduced its latest smartphone, the Redmi A3, in India, with prices starting from Rs. 7,299. This move intensifies the competition in the smartphone market, particularly in the sub-10k segment. The Redmi A3 boasts a sleek 'Halo' design on its back, reminiscent of higher-end Redmi models.

Price and Availability: The Redmi A3 is priced at Rs. 7,299 for the 3GB RAM/64GB storage variant, Rs. 8,299 for the 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant, and Rs. 9,299 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant. Interested buyers can purchase the smartphone starting February 23 through Mi.com, Flipkart, and other retail outlets.

Specifications: The Redmi A3 sports a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels, offering support for a 90Hz refresh rate. It features a waterdrop-style notch housing the front-facing camera, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot). It operates on Xiaomi's custom MIUI 14 skin based on Android 13.

The Redmi A3 is equipped with a hefty 5,000mAh battery, supporting fast charging with a 10W charger included in the box. Connectivity options include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, dual 4G SIM card slots, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GNSS.

Camera-wise, the Redmi A3 features a dual-camera setup at the back, comprising an 8MP primary sensor and a 0.08MP secondary sensor. Additionally, there's a 5MP front-facing camera for all selfie and video call needs.
