Dehradun: In the wake of the devastating tunnel collapse in Uttarkashi, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the site to assess and oversee the ongoing rescue and relief operations. The collapse trapped 40 workers, prompting urgent and extensive efforts to save lives. The officials, accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Secretary SS Sandhu, are actively engaged in coordinating expert teams and exploring various strategies to expedite the rescue mission. The tragic incident occurred on November 12 when a tunnel under construction between Silkyara and Dandalgaon on the Brahmakhal-Yamunotri national highway collapsed.
