The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification stating, "The Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand has called the Fifth Vidhan Sabha to convene at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Vidhan Sabha Bhavan, Bhararisain, Gairsain, District Chamoli, for its second session of the year 2024."

Earlier this week, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a meeting of the Secretary Committee at the Secretariat. Notably, CM Dhami is the first chief minister to participate in this committee meeting. The three-hour discussion covered various state interest topics.
