Lucknow: Three cow smugglers have been arrested by Saharanpur police while raiding the house of Deoband in Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, three accused, including a woman, managed to escape. Police have seized beef and meat-cutting weapons from the spot. The police have registered an FIR against all six accused under the Bovine Act. On the basis of inputs received from informers, the police raided Faizan's house in Sheikh-ul-Hind Colony of Deoband on Saturday (August 27, 2022). During this time Faizan son of Gulzar, Mohammad Chotan son of Irfan alias Fana, and Sufiyan son of Saeed were arrested. However, seeing the opportunity, the three accused managed to escape. During the raid, police seized 50 kg of beef, knives, axes and several meat-cutting weapons from the spot. At the same time, the police are conducting a search operation to arrest the accused who escaped from the spot. According to media reports, the police said that seven cases have already been registered against one of the arrested accused in the Deoband police station. Out of these, 5 cases are registered under the Bovine Act. The Gangster Act is also imposed on it. At the same time, the main accused Faizan also has already 7 cases registered in Deoband police station. Four of these cases are registered under the Bovine Act and that too has the Gangster Act.
