Lucknow: A court in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar has delivered a major verdict. In a case of cheating in the board examination, a fine of Rs 1500 has been imposed on three teachers after 21 years. For non-payment of the fine, these teachers may also face additional imprisonment of 7 days. In fact, 21 years ago, on April 9, 2001, during the board examination at The Vedic Putri Pathshala Inter College in Nai Mandi Kotwali area, copying children from a guide, came down heavily on four teachers at that time. When the Director of Education, Saharanpur Board caught these teachers red-handed while copying them. After this, the principal of Vedic Putri Pathshala, Santosh Goyal, lodged a case against the teachers Kamani, Rita, Archana and Usha at New Mandi Kotwali. In which the four teachers had to take bail. Now, after a long gap of 21 years in the case, on Tuesday, SGM-1 imposed a fine of Rs 1,500 on three teachers, Kamani, Rita and Archana, while hearing the sentence. If they do not pay the fine on time, all of them can also face a jail term of 7 days. While the file of another of these teachers, Usha Gupta, has been set aside in the court.
