Muzaffarnagar: In the new Mandi Kotwali area of Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday night, a speeding car crushed several people who are attending a wedding procession. Two people died and many were injured in the accident on National Highway 58. Many people have also suffered serious injuries, which have been referred to Meerut for treatment. Ankul of Bahadarpur village under Sikhheda police station area was married to Hema of Shernagar on February 16. Ankul reached with the procession in a banquet hall on Delhi Dehradun highway located in Mandi Kotwali area. Bride Hema was also coming to the banquet hall riding in a car. The bride was dancing at an open sunroof in the car. People were immersed in the celebration of marriage. The bride and groom's family also started dancing in front of the bride's car on the highway. Then a car came and trampled dozens of people. The collision was so severe that two people died in the accident while many were injured. The dead include the groom's cousin and other people. The police reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. The police has recovered the car. However, the car driver managed to escape. Police has registered a case and started the investigation.
