Lucknow: There was a commotion in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on Friday morning when people saw a broken statue of Jaharveer Baba in his temple. People came to know about the incident when they reached the temple to offer prayers. The case pertains to Badhaai Khurd village in Nagar Kotwali area, the temple of Hundreds of years old Jaharveer Baba built outside the village was vandalised by some miscreants late last night and his idol was vandalised by some miscreants. As soon as the news of the vandalism of the idol spread in the village, a crowd of villagers gathered in the temple premises. The people of the village were very angry over the demolition of the statue. On being informed about the incident, higher officials along with the police force rushed to the spot and pacified the villagers by convincing them. CO City Kuldeep Kumar Singh, who rushed to the spot, pacified the people by assuring them to install a new statue in the temple and arrest the accused at the earliest. According to the information, the authorities have formed several teams to arrest the accused in the case. Let us know that this is the second case of vandalism of the temple and breaking the statue in the last few days in the area.
