The hospital immediately handed over the woman's body when the case went viral on social media. Later, a written statement issued by the DM office said that no staff personnel had demanded Rs 8,000 from him, but was demanded from him by an unidentified person. The investigation into the case has been handed over to SDM Coal. Shankar's mother from Aligarh died on April 30 at Pandit Deendayal Hospital due to corona infection. The youth has been visiting the hospital ever since to collect the body of his deceased mother. The youth alleged that he was demanded Rs 8,000 in return for giving the mother's body. The victim's son says hospital staff are not allowing him to go to the near mother's body. The youth said that an rs 8,000 was demanded by the hospital worker in the name of cremation expenses. When the matter went viral on social media, the matter came to the notice of the district collector in charge. The DM in charge then immediately handed over the case to the SDM and the youth was given the body of his mother.
