Ambedkar Nagar: Five people were killed while four others are in critical condition after consuming poisonous liquor in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, the Excise Commissioner has taken major action after the DM's letter in the matter. Taking cognizance of this, the Excise Commissioner has suspended four constables including the inspector of excise department. The suspended officers have been identified as Excise Inspector Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, Principal Excise Constable Deep Narayan Verma, Excise Constable Sarvesh Kumar and Pradeep Kumar Singh. Earlier, four policemen including Jaitpur SO have been attacked. In fact, the case pertains to Chauhan basti of Makhdoompur under Jaitpur police station area. According to media reports, Sonu Choubey had brought desi liquor from Mittupur market on the border of Azamgarh district. Apart from Sonu Choubey, ram shubham chauhan, amit chauhan, jaisraj and mahesh, residents of neighbouring village Makhdoompur, had also consumed poisonous liquor on Sunday. After drinking alcohol, everyone's health started deteriorating. He was admitted to private hospitals in Anan-Phanan after his health deteriorated. Amit Chauhan had died during treatment. While Sonu Choubey and retired information officer Ram Shubhag Chauhan succumbed to their injuries the next day. On the other hand, the three bodies were cremated in Anan-Phanan after the villagers hid the incident of drinking alcohol. However, sp MLA Subhash Rai had informed the police about the death due to drinking alcohol. Police then rushed to the spot and seized two bodies and rushed them for postmortem.
