NEW DELHI: In a bid to facilitate the process of submission of applications by the aspirants of its examinations, the Union Public Service Commission has rolled out 'One Time Registration' (OTR) platform. It has been made available 24/7 on the Commission's websites upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. According to the Commission, the One Time Registration will be very helpful for the candidates because it will not only prevent them from having to fill out their basic personal information again for any future UPSC examinations, but it will also completely eliminate any chance that they will submit inaccurate information because their basic personal information will be verified by the candidates themselves. The time required to fill out and submit an online application form will be greatly decreased because approximately 70% of the information provided by a candidate in the OTR will automatically be pre-populated in the application form. The candidates must register on the OTR platform by providing the requested basic personal information if they intend to take any upcoming Commission examinations. The Commission stated that when an aspirant's registration is complete, the Commission's servers will continue to hold the information in a safe manner. The details of a candidate will be filled out automatically in the online application form for the exam they are applying for. To prevent any issues in the future, the Commission advises reading the OTR instructions and carefully filling out the information in the OTR.
