Wedneday;June 15, 2016:As per the Senior Official said, “Uttar Pradesh government has sent a proposal to the Centre for inclusion of Shamli district in the national capital region (NCR)”
Sujit Kumar, the Shamli District Magistrate said, “District authorities recommendation to include Shamli in NCR has been approved by the state government and was sent to Union government”
Shamli is situated between Haryana's Karnal and Panipat districts, both of which are a part of NCR.
