LUCKNOW: From Thursday, March 24, it is about 52 lakh students will be taking the UP Board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12. There would be 27.8 lakh students in Class 10 and 24.1 lakh in Class 12. Exams will be held in 8,373 locations throughout the state. Because of their sensitivity to cheating, the UP Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) has designated 254 centres as "very sensitive" and 861 centres as "sensitive." The government has set up a state-level' monitoring and control centre' for CCTV surveillance and audio recordings to avoid widespread cheating in the UP board exams. At 8,373 centres and 75 district control rooms, almost 2.9 lakh CCTV cameras have been deployed (each in one district). A total of 2.7 lakh invigilators have been assigned to the task. D.S. Mishra, the Chief Secretary, stated that individuals propagating bogus news during the tests will face severe consequences.
