The Tripura assembly's five-day budget session will begin on March 17, according to state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath. On the opening day of the session, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma, who also holds the finance ministry, will propose the budget for the fiscal year 2022-23. During the session, five to seven bills will be tabled, including the Tripura National University Bill, 2022, he said. "Admission to the university will commence the next academic year if all goes well," he continued.
