New Delhi: A tragic incident unfolded at Delhi's Saket Court as a 44-year-old lawyer took his own life by jumping from a building on Monday. The shocking event caused turmoil within the court premises. Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered the lawyer's body in the parking area. Subsequent investigations revealed a suicide note, providing insight into the reasons behind the lawyer's fatal decision. According to a Delhi Police official, lawyer Om Kumar Sharma leapt from his chamber in Saket Court on Monday evening. His lifeless body was recovered from the parking area. The police found a suicide note during the inquiry, indicating that Sharma had been battling liver disease for the past two years. The police received information about the incident at 8 pm on Monday, and the lawyer's body was discovered in the parking area behind Saket Court. A senior police officer stated that the police have taken custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The investigation revealed that the deceased had been grappling with liver disease for the last two years. According to the police officer from the concerned police station, the lawyer and his wife had visited a hospital on Monday before arriving at Saket Court. Subsequently, the lawyer left his wife at the gate and later took his own life. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
