With Dussehra celebrations set for October 12 and 13, 2024, authorities in several cities, including Mumbai and Noida, have announced traffic restrictions to manage the festive crowds and events. Commuters are advised to take note of road closures and diversions in place for the occasion. Traffic Restrictions in Mumbai The Mumbai Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park. The restrictions will be effective from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday. Here are the roads that will be closed: The stretch from Siddhivinayak Temple Junction to Kapad Bazaar Junction in Mahim on SVS Road. Commuters can take alternate routes via Siddhivinayak Junction, SK Bole Road, Agar Bazaar, Gokhale Road, and Portuguese Church Gate. Those traveling from Gadkari Chowk Junction to Keluskar Road (South) Dadar are advised to use the MB Raut route. Traffic diversions will also be in place from Senapati Bapat Marg to LJ Marg, extending to Manorama Nagarkar Marg at the junction. No-Entry Zones in Noida In Noida, several routes will be marked as no-entry zones during the Dussehra festivities. Key routes will be affected, especially near popular immersion points like the Yamuna Riverbank, Hanuman Temple, and other local temples. Cars traveling toward the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Delhi will be redirected to alternative routes. Vehicles from Sector 37 heading to the Yamuna Riverbank will be diverted via the Mahamaya Flyover. Traffic from Loni Road toward Hanuman Temple will be redirected through local routes.
